2024 ACHIEVEMENT TARGETS 


2024 MATHS GOAL:

That 70% of students are achieving in Mathematics in Year 6 (2023 data = 60%)  

  • 50% Y2 Maori students (3/6) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2023. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y3 by 2.

  • 29% Y5 Pasifika students (4/14) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2023. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y6 by 4.

Overall 80% of students in 2024 will reach their expected curriculum level.


2024 READING GOAL:

That 75% of students are achieving in Reading in Year 3 (2023 data: Y2 = 62%)  

  • 40% Y2 Maori students (2/5) were achieving at their expected curriculum level in 2023. We aim to increase our Maori achievement by 2.

  • 41% Y4&5 Pasifika students (8/23) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2023. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y4&5 by 6.

Overall 80% of students in 2024 will reach their expected curriculum level.


2024 WRITING GOAL:

That 70% of students are achieving in Writing in Year 6 (2023 data: Y5 = 50%) 

  • 40% Y5  Maori students (2/5) were achieving at their expected curriculum level in 2023. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y6  by 2.

  • 38% Pasifika students Y1-5 (17/49) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2023. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement school-wide by 13.

  • 25% Pasifika boy is achieving in Writing in Y3 (3/12) and 29% Pasifika boys are achieving in Writing in Y5 (2/7) in 2023. We aim to increase our Pasifika boys’ Writing achievement in Y4 by 3, and our Y5 by 3.                                        

Overall 75% of students in 2024 will reach their expected curriculum level; with a focus on improving boys’ engagement in writing.



2023 Achievement Targets


Due to the disruptions to learning over the last three Covid years, our targets are aimed at accelerating progress 

Our school focus will be to prioritize regular student attendance in order for learning progress to occur.


2023 MATHS GOAL:

That 70% of students are achieving in Mathematics at Year 6 & 8  (2022 data: Y5 = 51%, Y7 = 43%)  

  • 14% Y8 Maori students (1/7) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2022. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y8 by 3.

  • 18% Y6 Pasifika students (2/11)) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2022. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y6 by 4.

Overall 70% of students in 2023 will reach their expected curriculum level.

That 80% of students are achieving in Reading at Level 4 (2022 data: Y7 = 62%)  

  • 14% Level 4 Maori students (2/9) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2022. We aim to increase our Maori achievement by 3.

  • 17% Yr 4 Pasifika students (1/6) were achieving at their expected curriculum level 2022. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y4 by 3.

Overall 80% of students in 2023 will reach their expected curriculum level.



2023 WRITING GOAL:

That 70% of students are achieving in Writing at Level 3 (2022 data: Y4 = 54%, Y5 = 61%) 

  • 33% Y5  Maori students (1/3) were achieving at their expected curriculum level in 2022. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y5  by 1.

  • 42% Level 2 Pasifika students (6/15) were achieving at their expected curriculum level in 2022. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement at Level 2 by 4.

Overall 75% of students in 2023 will reach their expected curriculum level.




2022 ACHIEVEMENT TARGETS


Due to the disruptions to learning over the last two Covid years, our targets are aimed at accelerated progress 

Year 3, 4 and 8 students, working toward their curriculum level, making accelerated progress from baseline EOY2021 data to EOY2022


2022 MATHS GOAL:

That 70% of students are achieving in Mathematics at Level 2 (2021 data: Y2 = 51%, Y3 = 40%)  

  • 35% Y2-Y3 Maori students (3/9) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y3-Y4  by 3.

  • 7% Y2-3 Pasifika students (1/21) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y3-4 by 2.

Overall 70%+ Year 3-4 2022 will reach their expected curriculum level within Level 2 (moving 18 children).


That 65% of students are achieving in Mathematics at Year 8 (2021 data: 41%)

  • 20% Y7 Maori students (1/5) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y8  by 2.

  • 14% Y7 Pasifika students (1/7) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y8 by 3.

Overall 65%+ Year 8 2022 will reach their expected curriculum level within Level 4 (moving 8/32 children).



2022 READING GOAL:

That 85% of students are achieving in Reading at Level 2 (2021 data: Y2 = 63%, Y3 = 76%)  

  • 56% Y2-Y3 Maori students (5/9) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y3-Y4  by 2.

  • 50% Y2-Y3 Pasifika students (11/21) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y3-Y4 by 5.

Overall 80%+ Year 3-4 2022 will reach their expected curriculum level within Level 2 (moving 11 children).


That 80% of students are achieving in Reading at Year 8 (2021 data: 59%) 

  • 20% Y7 Maori students (1/5) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y8  by 2.

  • 57% Y7 Pasifika students (4/7) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y8 by 1.

Overall 80%+ Year 8 2022 will reach their expected curriculum level within Level 4 (moving 7 children).



2022 WRITING GOAL:

That 70% of students are achieving in Writing at Level 2 (2021 data: Y2 = 54%, Y3 = 45%) 37   51

  • 44% Y2-Y3 Maori students (4/9) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Y3-Y4  by 3.

  • 14% Y2-Y3 Pasifika students (3/21) are achieving at their expected curriculum level 2021. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Y3-Y4 by 8.

Overall 70%+ Year 3-4 2022 will reach their expected curriculum level within Level 2 (moving 14 children).

2021 ACHIEVEMENT TARGETS


2021 WRITING GOAL:

That 80% of students are achieving in Writing at Year 6 (2020 data: Y5 = 71%) 

  • We aim to increase our overall achievement by improved outcomes for 6 students

  • 50% Maori students (4/8) are achieving at their expected curriculum level. 

  • 63% Pasifika students (9/16) are achieving at their expected curriculum level. (Two students have identified learning needs).

  • We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Year 6 by 1, and Pasifika achievement by 2.

Overall 80% Year 6 will reach L3p by the end of 2021.  Ako 2

  • We aim to increase our overall achievement by improved outcomes for 4 students

  • 50% Maori students (3/6) are achieving at their expected curriculum level. 

  • 44% Pasifika students (4/9) are achieving at their expected curriculum level. 

  • We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Year 8 by 2, and Pasifika achievement by 1.

That 80% of students are achieving in Mathematics at Level 2 (2020 data: Y2 = 62%, Y3 = 70%)

  • 60% Y3 Maori students (3/5) are achieving at their expected curriculum level. We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Year 3 by 1.

Overall 80% Year 3 2021 will reach L2b Aroha 1

  • 33% Y4 Pasifika students (3/9) are achieving at their expected curriculum level. We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Year 4 by 2.

Overall 80% Year 4 2021 will reach L2p Ako 1



2020 ACHIEVEMENT TARGETS

2020 WRITING GOAL:
That 80% of students are achieving in Writing at Level 2 (2019 data: Y2 = 69%, Y3 = 74%)
Currently our Y3 and Y4 Maori students are achieving at their expected curriculum level.
Overall 80% Year 4 will reach L2p. 
  • We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement by one (11% of this cohort - two others have identified learning needs).
Overall 80% Year 3 will reach L2b. 
  • Only 4 of 11 Pasifika students are at their expected curriculum level. So we aim to increase our Year 3 Pasifika achievement by 4 (36% of this cohort).

That 80% of students are achieving in Writing at Level 4 (2019 data = 69%)
Overall 80% Year 8 will reach L4p. 
  • We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Year 8 by 1 (25% of this cohort), and Pasifika achievement by 2 (25% of this cohort).
Overall 80% Year 7 will reach L4b. 
  • We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Year 7 by 1 (20% of this cohort), and Pasifika achievement by 2 (25% of this cohort).

N.B Percentages outcomes are affected in Years 7&8 by the small cohort - the movement of one child makes a bigger difference.

2020 MATHEMATICS GOAL:
That 80% of students are achieving in Mathematics at 
Level 3 (2019 data: Y4 = 87%, Y5 = 68%)
Overall 85% Year 5 will reach L3b, maintaining the achievement levels as the cohort moves into a new curriculum level i.e. Level 2 to Level 3 NZC.
Overall 80% Year 6 will reach L3p
  • We aim to increase our Maori achievement in Year 6 by 2 (33% of this group).
  • We aim to increase our Pasifika achievement in Year 6 by 2 (29% of this group).
Targets 2019 - Priority Learners
Maori Students Reading
2018 EOY Data: 11.3% (7) of our Maori students are not achieving the
expected NZC Level in Reading.
By the end of 2019 we hope to reduce the number of students not achieving
at their expected curriculum level to: 4


Maori Students Writing
2018 EOY Data: 18.3% (8) of our Maori students are not achieving the
expected NZC Level in Writing. Targeted needs are spread across cohorts
By the end of 2019 we hope to reduce the number of students not achieving
at their expected curriculum level to: 4


Maori Students Maths
2018 EOY Data: 14% (7) of our Maori students are not achieving the
expected NZC Level in Maths.
By the end of 2019 we hope to reduce the number of students not achieving
at their expected curriculum level to: 4

Pasifika Reading
2018 EOY Data:  38.8% (29) of our Pasifika Students are not achieving the
expected NZC Level in Reading. (10 out of 12 are from our Yr 1 cohort,
8 out of 9 are from Yr 7.)
By the end of 2019 we hope to reduce the number of students not achieving
at their expected curriculum level to: 16


Pasifika Students Writing
2018 EOY Data:  34.5% (26) of our Pasifika Students are not achieving
the expected NZC Level in Writing. (7 out of 9 are from our Yr 7 cohort
& 6 out of 11 from Yr 6 cohort)
By the end of 2019 we hope to reduce the number of students not
achieving at their expected curriculum level to: 16


Pasifika Students Maths
2018 EOY Data: 34.1% (26) of our Pasifika students are not achieving the
expected NZC Level in Maths. Targeted needs are across all cohorts with the
highest number being 6 out of 9 at the end of Year 7, 6 of 11 at the end of Year 6,
and 5 out of 9 at the end of Year 5.)
By the end of 2019 we hope to reduce the number of students not achieving
at their expected curriculum level to: 16
